Lucius Verus Aurelius, the grandson of Marcus Aurelius and son of Maximus Decimus Meridius. Lucius lives in exile in North Africa under the alias "Hanno" with his wife Arishat. After the Roman army invades and conquers their kingdom, Lucius is enslaved and forced to become a gladiator in the Colosseum.
